Understanding the impact of humans on bats…and vice versa
My research interests fall broadly into wildlife conservation taking a human dimensions approach. I was getting intrigued by this topic during my PhD in urban ecology. Initially, I was ‘just’ a wildlife conservationist, specialized on bats. However, during my field work in urban areas, I realized how critical it is to include people for effective conservation outcomes; particularly in human-dominated areas.
